Obituary of Sharlet K. Huddleston

Lifelong Burlington, Colorado resident, Sharlet K. Huddleston passed away unexpectedly on August 7, 2018 at the Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, Colorado.  She was 71 years old.

Sharlet was born on September 26, 1946 to Harry Alfred and Mary Victoria (Lovenstein) Hemmert in Burlington, Colorado.  She was one of three children born to this union.

She attended school in Burlington and graduated from Burlington High School in 1964.

Sharlet married Duane Ridder on June 20, 1964 at the St. Charles Catholic Church in Stratton, Colorado.  To this union two daughters were born; Brenda and Kelly.

She was a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Burlington and enjoyed attending church on Sunday.

Quilting, gardening, going fishing, cooking Sunday dinners were a few of her many joys in life.  She loved spending time with her beloved cat, Daisy.  Some of her most cherished moments were spending time with her family especially during the holidays.  One of her greatest joys in life was watching her granddaughter at all of her sporting events.

Sharlet was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Alfred and Mary Hemmert.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters; Brenda (Ridder) and Rod Moller of Burlington, Kelly Elwood and Jon Allen of Salina, Kansas, her granddaughter Maggie Moller, sister Carlotta (Rueben) Trevino of Burlington, and brother Blake Hemmert of Castle Rock.
