Obituary of Lakynn Marie Davis

********Please Note Service Times Have Changed**********

Lakynn Marie Davis was welcomed into this world on May 24, 2018 at 6:46 a.m. at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s hospital in Denver, Colorado.  Seven pounds, 12 ounces and eighteen and a half inches of absolute perfection.  Her Mommy and Daddy had never seen such a beautiful baby!  We had spent the past nine months excited and anticipating the time we would be able to shower our baby girl with love, watch her grow up and be her parents.  The pregnancy was perfect.  Mommy loved being pregnant and Mommy and Daddy both enjoyed feeling her move and kick.  She was strong, happy and healthy. We were completely heart broken to learn that our perfect angel walked on to Heaven ahead of us unexpectedly.  We never got to meet her but we trust we will see her again when we walk that way ourselves.

Her birth was quick and everyone tried their hardest to save her.  She should not have died.  She was perfect and beautiful. Despite the pain we feel, we would do it all over again.  We feel lucky that we were chosen to be Lakynn’s parents and that we were blessed with her presence here on Earth, even if it was only thirty-seven weeks in Mommy’s womb.  We hope she felt the love and pure joy from us as Mommy carried her.  It was an honor.  For someone who never took a breath, it is obvious she has touched so many lives.  She has taught us so many things and we will cherish her memory forever.  We are heartbroken to think we will never get to hear her laugh and giggle, we will never see her smile, crawl, walk or run, we will never get to take her fishing.  We looked forward to a long life of happiness with her.  We are comforted knowing she will always be a special soul.  She will never have to face the hardships of this world or experience sadness or disappointment.  Lakynn’s life will be a memory of nothing but love, innocence, and purity.  We love you Lakynn Marie, our beautiful Angel, and we will miss you with every breath we take.  We fell in love with you when you were forming in the womb.  Now we will carry you in our hearts instead of our arms.  We looked forward to telling you all about Jesus.  Now our hope is He will tell you all about us.  You will always be our favorite “what if…”

Lakynn is currently in Heaven, in the loving arms of her grandfather, O. Loyde Davis III, her great grandparents Virginia Hubbard, Dorothy (Stegman) Hubbard, Leona Edmunds, Frances and Donald Smith, and O. Loyde II and Lois Virginia Davis.
