Obituary of Stanley "Stan" Charles Rueb

Burlington, Colorado resident Stanley “Stan” Charles Rueb passed away peacefully with family at his side May 31st  2018 at Kit Carson County Memorial Hospital in Burlington, Colorado. He was 64 years old.

Stan was born on November 6 , 1953 to Justin “Sam” and Evangeline (Schawe) Rueb in Burlington, Colorado. He was the 5th of 8 children.

Stan grew up on the family farm Between Stratton and Vona. He spent many hours of his younger years driving tractor or combine for his Dad. He was always interested in the goings on of the farm and even on his last day asked how the wheat was looking and if the work was caught up.

Stan attended school at St. Charles Academy and Graduated high school at Stratton. He enjoyed playing basketball and fishing at Flagler Lake.

Stan spent the last 40 years of his life living in Burlington. With the assistance of the great staff of Dynamic Dimensions inc. and the friendly and kind folks of Burlington, Stan was able to live independently at his apartment in the Autom park complex. He was very proud of living on his own and doing things his way.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Vangie, Brother Patrick, and Sister Elaine.

He is survived by 5 brothers, John and (Arlene), Bill and (Paula), Robert, Mark and(Kathy), Justin and (Barbara), sister in law Rita, and numerous nieces and nephews.
