Obituary of David Mullis

Lifelong Burlington, Colorado resident David Allen Mullis, 47, died Saturday May 20, 2006 at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado. David was born May 22, 1958 in Burlington to Arthur Eugene “Geneâ€? and Sylvia Jeanette (Knapp) Mullis. David attended school in Burlington and was a laborer for the Equity CO-OP elevator in Burlington. On August 8, 1975 David was united in marriage to Abbey J. Locke in Burlington. David loved spending time with his grandchildren Ethan, Rafe, Gavin and Grady. One of his favorite hobbies was being in dart leagues. Preceding David in death are his sister Georgieann Mullis in 1971, his grandmother Bertha Ledbetter and his grandfather Clyde Mullis. Surviving family members are his wife Abbey, his parents Gene and Jeanette Mullis all of Burlington. His son Jeremiah David C. Mullis and his wife Roycee of Highlands Ranch, Colorado and daughter Jennifer Mullis of Fort Morgan, Colorado. Grandchildren Ethan Mullis, Rafe Mullis, Gavin Mullis and Grady Rogers. Also surviving are two brothers Carl Mullis and his wife Trudy and Dean Mullis and his wife Debbie both of Burlington. A sister Vickie Taylor of Burlington and his grandmother Emma Mullis also of Burlington. Also nieces nephews and many special friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday May 24 at 10:30 AM at the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Burlington, with Pastor Tim Schrunk officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Burlington. Memorial gifts may be made in David’s name and sent to or left at the Bank of The West in Burlington. Visitation will be Tuesday May 23 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Love Funeral Home, Burlington.
